Please fill out this form if you are interested in walking, offering lodging, or if you can provide vehicle support for the journey. We are gathering information to coordinate a fellowship of about 5 walkers during the transit to McFarland, WI (the penultimate night of the section), and a group of any size to walk into Madison.
For Walkers:
Please note that the average daily distance for this section is about 15 miles. We welcome all who are led to join for whatever portion they feel capable, but vehicle support might not be available on every day. If you don't plan to walk for an entire day, we suggest arranging for a pick-up and drop-off. We will let you know if there is additional support available when it becomes available.
Walkers planning to join for multiple days must bring camping accommodations, meals, and water reservoirs. While we are planning to arrange for overnight accommodations, in the event that this is not available, it is imperative to have a way to stay warm and dry overnight. Sleeping pads & bags will be necessary even when indoor accommodations are available.
For Vehicle Support:
The walking fellowship will likely need transportation for various reasons during the day: supply runs, bathroom breaks, rest breaks, gear transport, shuttling to and from nightly lodging. Please indicate below what level of support you can provide, and on which days you can provide it.
For Overnight Hosts:
Walkers will be in need of either beds, couches, or floor space, showers, and a meal at the end of the day. The organizers can provide financial support for dinner supplies. As mentioned above, the majority of the nights will have a walking party of about 5 individuals. Home stays can be arranged even if they are far from the walking route, but this would require a shuttle from and to the route.
