Eligibility:

1.  Current eighth grade student
2.  Complete Algebra 1 or higher with a grade of B or better by the end of eighth grade
3.  Submit application on time

Admissions Criteria:

1.  Completed Application Questionnaire
2.  Recommendations
Current teachers in Mathematics, Science, and English and a 4th adult are REQUIRED. This fourth recommendation can come from a teacher you've had previously, an electives teacher, a coach, or any other adult (other than a parent or relative) you think would give more support for your application.  There is no differentiation in weighting of the four required recommendations; they are all equally important.
3.  GPA
Your average GPA for mathematics, Science, and English for seventh and eighth grades is required. If you are attending a school outside of the Camas School District, you must submit copies of your transcripts.
4.  Entrance Exam
This is a specialized admissions exam designed specifically for programs like the Camas MST Magnet. It's similar to the SAT, but it also includes on-demand writing prompt. The test is administered on the date listed in the timeline posted on the MST Magnet Admissions website.

Application Deadline:

Prompt submission of a complete application by 3:00 PM on the date listed in the application timeline is critical.  You can find the specific date for the application on the MST Magnet Admissions website.  The due date is usually near the end of January.
