Midtown Corridor Transportation Survey

The Midtown Greenway Coalition is coalition of neighborhoods, organizations, and individuals who love the Midtown Greenway and want to protect and enhance it. Our mission is to empower communities to develop, improve, protect, and enjoy the Midtown Greenway as a green urban corridor to improve people's lives.

We are currently conducting a survey to better understand the needs of the communities and businesses along the Greenway as well as of trail users. The results of the survey will help us advocate for the Greenway during the ongoing Alternatives Analysis study being conducted by Metro Transit. This study will determine future transit options along the corridor.

Three alternatives are being considered for the Metro Transit Study:

1) A Streetcar in the Greenway, paralleling the path, off of Lake Street, from the Lake St. Light Rail at Hiawatha to the future Southwest Light Rail.
2) An Enhanced Bus on Lake Street with pre-boarding payment hubs, the capacity to delay red lights, and a different look, from the Lake St. Hiawatha Light Rail to the future Southwest Light Rail.
3) A combination of both options - Streetcar and Enhanced Bus, with an extension on the Enhanced Bus line to the intersection of Snelling and University in St. Paul.

The Midtown Greenway Coalition is seeking feedback from the community to strengthen our understanding of the communities and businesses along the Greenway, and the Greenway's users. Your information is important to us - thank you!
