Philips Sonicare Vibrating Electric Toothbrushes
With its Sonicare models, Philips undoubtedly offers electric sonic toothbrushes from entry-level to top-of-the-range. But if you start looking for the right device for your individual needs, you will quickly get lost in the jumble of model names and numbering systems that are hard to understand at first (and also second) glance.
- All current Philips Sonicare models are sonic toothbrushes with up to 62,000 brush movements per minute (except Sonicare CleanCare+ and Sonicare EasyClean with only 31,000 brush movements).
- Power is always supplied by modern environmentally friendly lithium-ion batteries with really great battery life (except for the Sonicare CleanCare+ with nickel-metal hydride battery).
- The battery life refers to the manufacturer's specifications: The basis is a person who brushes his teeth for 2 minutes twice a day.
- A timer displays both the brushing time per quadrant of the jaw and the total brushing time. Philips speaks here in the most beautiful marketing English of the "Quadpacer Interval Timer" and, less cryptically, of the "Two-Minute Timer".
The main differences lie in the available cleaning programs, the actual battery life and the UV disinfection unit, which is only available for individual devices. Additionally, there are always limited special editions with a second handpiece. So here you get practically two electric toothbrushes for the price of one.
