The Latchis Gallery will become a short term hub for creative activity, including: community art mapping, workshops, exhibits, social gatherings, reading circles, co-working and community conversations and meals. We encourage anyone who has a skill or creative practice to share to send us your dreams and ideas. Your proposal can be a rough sketch. Add as much detail as you can, but it's okay to share half-baked thoughts. The range of possibilities and format for your offering is open. Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Programming Restrictions:Due to the constraints of the space and Latchis hours and programs, there are some restrictions on events. Please consider audience size, timing, cost, and accessibility when submitting your proposal. We aim to keep most, if not all, programs free to participate, with some suggested donation/ low cost events.
Applicants may be asked to modify their proposals: if, for example, a workshop might be a better fit at a later time, or if a program might benefit from conversation with other proposed events. The Brattleboro Listening Project is strongly committed to supporting the creators of the programming it hosts. However, we ask that those submitting proposals adhere to respecting the capacities of the organizers, the facilities, and project participants. Please be prepared to manage the execution of your proposed programming.
Please send any questions about your proposal or the residency to email@example.com. If you prefer to talk about your idea or brainstorm in person, come visit us in the Latchis Gallery to chat - or email us to set up a time to talk.
