Who really wants to head down to Toronto on a weekday at 9 p.m. during the summer? The talent is already here. We’ve got too many elite players in the Barrie area not to build something special locally. We’re looking forward to having you join the Gateway Hockey Summer League for the summer of 2026.
This is an extension to our very successful Gateway Summer Hockey League - Junior Division (Pro, OHL, NCAA, OUA, JR A), which has been running for 2 years now. Our Junior Division includes some of the following players:

Hudson Martin - Sudbury OHL
Francis Parish - Peterborough OHL
Logan Hawery - Sarnia OHL
Cole Emerton - Barrie OHL
Troy Patton - Brampton OHL
Cole Zurawski - Owen Sound OHL
Hayden Martin - Guelph OHL
Mason Emhoff - Bloomington ECHL

OVERVIEW:
-10 Weeks
-10 games
-8 regular season games, Semi Finals, Championship and 3rd place game
-Monday Nights
-June 1st to August 17th
-4 team league
-11 players + a goalie per team (6 forwards / 4 Defenceman / +1 xtra)
-3 Periods - 15 minutes stop time
-Refs
-Stats
-No hitting (rub outs allowed)
-Team Jerseys supplied
-$550 tax in
We are finalizing our 44 player roster by March 1st. Everyone will be notified no later than March 1st if you’ve been added to a team. Once we have our 40 player roster (24 Forwards, 16 Defenceman, +4 players), the league will create the four teams, which will consist of 6 forwards, 4 Defenceman, 1 Goalie and a +1 per team. You will be given the rosters of each team and the schedule by April 1st.
