Idaho Film Collection Scholar, Photographer and Filmmaker Grant Application Form

Mission: The Idaho Film Collection supports scholarly research and creative activities in film, photography and media studies as these relate to and/or benefit Idaho and the Northwest. IFC supports the activities of filmmakers, photographers and scholars in related fields, as well as public screenings, exhibitions and festivals. IFC does not fund stipends for artists or scholars.

Applicants: IFC supports the activities of filmmakers, photographers and scholars in related fields, as well as public screenings, exhibitions and festivals. Grants range from $500-$1,500. 

Proposals will be reviewed as expeditiously as possible with notification provided usually within two weeks. Artistic projects will be judged for their artistic quality and contribution to the fields of photography or filmmaking. All projects will be judged for their feasibility as well as community access.

    a. 10-15 samples of your work roughly 5×7 at 300 dpi
2. For filmmakers:
    a. Submit 2-3 previous examples of film/ video work (3 minutes max excerpts submitted via vimeo or youtube links) Please submit work that is relevant to the project you are proposing. I.e. if you are proposing a fiction / art film, please send examples of your fiction / art films (not commercials, etc.)

Previous Idaho Film Collection grant recipient? 

If you have received an IFC grant in the past, in order to be considered for an additional IFC grant, grant reports and related materials for the archives must have been submitted before applying again. Please update the status of your past grant-funded work here and confirm that you have provided all related materials.

If you have never received an IFC grant, please write “N/A”.
