Welcome to The Wurks studio application process!

The Wurks is a space for artists, designers and craftspeople to work in a communal setting, in Providence's Historic Mill District. The aim of The Wurks is to provide the square footage and the equipment necessary for Rhode Island artists to realize and share their wild visions.

Because some aspects The Wurks are still being developed, we strongly encourage our tenants and community members to contribute in some way to the construction and professional evolution of the space. In other words, we hope to find tenants who can commit some time and energy to further the mission of The Wurks, while also using the space and the resources of The Wurks to further their own artistic practice.  The long term goal of The Wurks is to be a self-sustaining, profitable entity, which offers complete metal and wood fabrication shops, a professional print studio, a sound recording room, and a large gallery/performance venue, all in addition to the private artist studio spaces, which range from 300 to 450 square feet. Most importantly though, is that The Wurks provides access to an incredible community of driven individuals with a wide swath of skills and interests.  

Upon favorable review of this application, you may be asked to participate in an "Art Speaks" presentation where you will present for 8 minutes about your work and what inspires you. Thank your interest and in taking the time to fill out the following application.
