Welcome to Venice during the great Italian Renaissance, where artists are thriving, trade and commerce are thriving, and where the Catholic Church continues to expand its influence. The rebirth of culture has been accompanied by illness and plague. Through this sickness, a number of men and women have begun to display exceptional characteristics. These exceptional individuals are seen by some has harbingers of a more enlightened future, but others see them as a threat to tradition and power.  

‘Under the Mask’ will allow players to step into Renaissance Italy to explore life as artisans, politicians, courtesans, and merchants along with various villains and heroes. The game is inspired by Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel, "1602", wherein he artfully engineered a new look at some modern day superheroes through the lens of a different historic era.
