MIC Tuning - ongoing for several months
Broad MIC community forum, for discussion of topics of interest, focusing efforts, communicating progress.  This group tends to meet more often just before events, as we discuss submissions.
Data Preconditioning - ongoing for several months
Develop and share knowledge on how to improve data locality by transforming the access to or arrangement of data
Life Sciences - started in early December, 2015
Develop and share knowledge on how to tune life science applications
New Memory Types - started in December, 2015
Describe usage models, review requirements, establish best known methods for new memory types
General Vectorization - started in December 2015
Key issues, language interfaces, tools, solutions
Vector packing and scheduling - may be added as a vect subgroup in the future
Very focused, specific issues related to packing and dynamic scheduling of work into vector lanes
Floating point precision - awaiting greater interest
When and how to reduce floating point precision
Nested parallelism - in discussion for starting up
How does one make nested parallelism effective in different programming models?
Performance portability  - in discussion for starting up
Standards-based implementations to achieve portable performance
New MPI features - in discussion for starting up
