The
Youth Community Access (YCA) Grant funded by the California Natural Resource Agency has allowed SERG to implement its first paid internship program. The goal of this internship is to provide access to natural resources to three-four youth from communities who have been disproportionally affected by previous state and federal drug policies, also known as the War on Drugs.
Individuals between the ages of 18-26 and who come from low-income, disadvantaged communities, and/or communities of color and who have an interest in natural resources (i.e. green spaces, open spaces, urban gardens, biology, ecology, life sciences, outdoors, wildlife, etc.) are welcome to apply.
This questionnaire is part of a three-step application process. You must also submit an application through the SDSU portal ICMS and a
one-page personal statement to the SERG Senior Director, Julie Lambert (jlambert@sdsu.edu)
AND Program Coordinator, Jocelyn Diego Hernandez (jdiegohernandez@sdsu.edu) by
April 30, 2025.
The information we ask in this questionnaire is confidential and will only be used to ensure we are meeting the YCA grant requirements.
