Many people, ranging from students to business owners, all over the world experience poor cable management, as well as an excess amount of cable ownership. An estimated 100,000 people (via
LinkedIn) are injured yearly due to poor cable management. This issue has been caused in the modern world due to an increase of devices that need to be charged and powered, the amount of cables that a person receives with new devices, and the numerous types of cables commonly used.
We are a group of engineering students seeking to generate data for our senior capstone project. We would greatly appreciate it if you filled out the following survey.
Cable management is the act of organizing cables, like chargers, internet, and more. I.e. routing cables behind your appliances and desks. Many people do this by using products such as Velcro, zip ties and more. This is done so it gives a more aesthetic appeal --no visible cables-- or so that cables won't be in the way, removing potential hazards.
