A critical component of our church is caring for one another - both in good times and during times when we may need some support. We are a community of faith, spirituality and kindness. The Care Team is a way to put those beliefs into action. More specifically, the Care Team is an email distribution list of volunteers who organize into action when a need arises. This team receives correspondence from the Care Team organizers which outlines specific requests. It can be to provide a ride to a doctor's appointment, sitting with a convalescing person so a family member can get out of the house for an hour or two, or providing meals.
If they are available, the Care Team member then replies to the email and our Care Team coordinators, Kim Lapple and Kathy Dibiasi, connect the care provider and the person who needs help. This is a simple way to be involved (as much or as little as your schedule allows) in caring for other congregation members in need.
We are asking each member or family of BPC to complete this form as we develop a database of possible helpers.
