CU Denver Peggy Lore Leadership Scholarship
The Peggy Lore Leadership Scholarship was established by the Asian American Student Services as well as University of Colorado Denver affiliates in honor of Peggy Lore, who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in serving the University of Colorado Denver community. Peggy Lore, the assistant vice-chancellor of Student Success, has assisted generations of students in reaching their academic goals for more than 30 years. Countless students have attested to Peggy’s compassion, guidance and dedication as being instrumental to their academic, social, and professional successes. The Peggy Lore Leadership Scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates initiative, commitment to others, and a positive impact to their family and/or community.
Minimum Eligibility requirements:
• Undergraduate CU Denver student – must have completed at least one semester and be enrolled on the CU Denver campus
• In good academic standing – minimum GPA 2.0
• Candidate should demonstrate active involvement with Asia American Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultures and communities. Examples: Student provides service to AAPI organizations or groups, participate in traditional language and/or cultural practices; is involved in political activism related to social justice issues, or is an active member of a CU Denver student organization or programs.
Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2015 at 5 pm. Recipient will be notified on May 1, 2015
Awarded: Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Asian American Student Services End of Year Award Ceremony 5:00-7:30 pm in Tivoli Student Union Room 320. The scholarship will be disbursed for Fall 2015 term.
