Local Area Forest School (LAFS) Events - September/October 2025
Following the great success of the Local Area Forest School (LAFS) events last October, NIFSA is delighted to invite you to the 2025 LAFS events.  The five Local Area Forest School (LAFS) events for 2025 will be held in - Lisnaskea, Belfast, Clandeboye, Carryduff and Coleraine. 

Please see below for dates, venues and full agenda. Please note the agenda may change but we will inform you as soon as possible to confirm everything.

The LAFS events will provide
a) A networking opportunity to meet other Forest Schools.
b) An update on what NIFSA is doing.
c) An opportunity to shape a new outdoor learning resource based on Clandeboye Estate.
c) An opportunity to hear what outdoor resources CCEA have produced.
d) An opportunity to feed into the NI Curriculum Taskforce.
e) Practical workshops outside - CCEA Outdoor Learning Resources.
f) Award ceremony to present certificates and plaques.

Please bring suitable outdoor clothing in case of bad weather.

Free for NIFSA Premium Members. Maximum 2 staff members per organisation. Non-NIFSA Members and additional staff members £65 each. Contact Caoimhe for queries - caoimhe@learningwithoutwalls.net

10.00-11.00 Clandeboye Resources - a discussion to plan for new teacher outdoor resources based on Clandeboye Estate

11.00 -12.00 - CCEA Outdoor Learning Resources

12.00-12.45 Lunch

 12.45-2.45 Practical activities outside - Using CCEA Resources

3.00-3.30 Presentation of certificates/plaques and planning 2026 LAFS
