St. John's Engraved Brick Fundraiser
Thank you for being an intricate part of over 70 years of a historical and life changing ministry. In the 1950’s a group of believers came together in prayer to start the first Greek Orthodox community in Suffolk County. This Commemorative Paver Project will highlight those who have passed this way and influenced and impacted our lives and our Church for all to see in the years to come.
The Commemorative Paver Project will be in two areas, the first along a newly created walkway from the Church to the Center dedicated to the memory of Father John named the Very Reverend John Kefalas Memorial Walkway; and the second by the newly created monument to our original church (where the icon of St. John has been placed) dedicated to the memory of Father Theodore named the Very Reverend Constantine Theodore Memorial Monument. The Walkway and the Monument are a part of the Plaza beautification donated by St. John’s Philoptochos.
Donations can be made in Memory of Loved Ones, Church Stewards and Individual
Donors and the pavers are also available to our members, family and friends to display special dates such as weddings and baptisms.
The pavers will serve as lifetime reminders of the influences and families that have been touched by St. John’s through the years. Proceeds from the Commemorative Paver Project will go the Restoration Fund and will
allow us to continue with the restoration of our beautiful church and campus.
If you have any questions about the project or securing your pavers see Leo Hadzigeorgiou or Olympia Gouvis or email philoptochos@stjohnsbluepoint.org
