Climate Guardians Application Form
The Climate Guardian initiative is a UNICEF Maldives program empowering young people aged 16-24 to address climate and environmental challenges. This program serves as a platform for youth to collaborate, take ownership, and drive meaningful change. The Climate Guardian cohorts are currently running in AdduKulhudhuffushiFuvahmulahLaamu, and the Male' Central Region.

Objectives
  • Equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and experiences necessary to take ownership and drive climate action in their communities and beyond.
  • Amplify youth voices and perspectives on climate and environmental issues, ensuring they are heard, represented, and recognized as key stakeholders in policymaking and grassroots-level initiatives.
  • Empower youth-led climate solutions, action, and advocacy, fostering young people's leadership in driving  sustainable change.
  • Foster collective action by strengthening and expanding youth cohorts, creating a unified front to mainstream climate and environmental issues across communities and platforms.
