This is an application for participation in the Career
Pathways Grant Program.
Massasoit Community College is pleased to offer students the
opportunity to participate in the Early Education and Care Career Pathways
Grant Program which provides advising and support for students to engage in
coursework that leads to a college certificate, credential, or degree as well
as MA EEC credentialing.
Career Pathways 2.0 Grant allows for cohort (grant) classes only for Child Growth & Development as well as Administration, Supervision, & Management of ECE Programs. All other courses must be paid using non-Career Pathways Funding.
By continuing this application, I understand that
participants must:
1. Have an “active” account in EEC’s Professional
Qualifications Registry (PQR) within six months of participating in the grant-
funded program and provide their PRQ number to the institution.
2. Be currently either
a. employed in a paid position at
an EEC licensed or license-exempt program,
b. intend to secure paid employment
in an EEC licensed or license-exempt program of at least 20 hours per week,
within 6 months of beginning the grant-funded program and with the assistance
of job placement support from the college; or
c. be a recent or near future
graduate of a Chapter 74 or other high-school based program with the goal of a
career in early education or out-of-school time
3. Utilize the ECE Scholarship as a first funding resort to
pursue matriculated programs of study at the Certificate, Associates,
Bachelor’s, or master’s level.
4. Develop or update an existing Individualized Professional
Development Plan (IPDP) to reflect goals on the professional pathway and
aligned to competencies.
5. Agree to the terms and conditions of participation, which
includes, but is not limited to:
a. Registration in a course or
program of study (matriculation not required).
b. Work towards completion of the
course or program including maintaining any IHE-defined minimum GPA.
c. Participation in appropriate
academic and non-academic support which help to promote student retention and
success.
d. If employed, remaining employed
in the field of early education or out-of-school time while participating in
the program.
e. Agree to remain in the field of
early education or out-of-school time for a minimum of one (1) year upon
completion of the program by signing an Attestation to do so; and f. Sharing
necessary demographic program participation data with the IHE and EEC, as
requested and for the purposes of data reporting.
All support will require that students submit ALL requested
documents.
