Summer Quest Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Summer Quest Academy 2024. If you are 14+ years or have completed 9th grade, please fill out this form to the best of your ability. Once all candidates have completed this form, they will be sent information on volunteer jobs. The Summer Volunteer schedule will be released at least 3 weeks before the scheduled weeks you have signed up for.  If you have any questions regarding the volunteer process please email bostonnewhopeacademy@gmail.com, or call at 617-304-0366

AVAILABILITY INFORMATION
Summer Quest Academy Summer Camp 2024 runs 3 weeks of Summer. We ask that volunteers work AT LEAST 2 weeks with us (don't need to be consecutive), the more the merrier. We require that volunteers are present for their entire shift for the entire week requested unless we have otherwise discussed with you prior to the camp week.

CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
In order to insure the highest quality programming for our campers and families and to optimize the Summer Quest Academy volunteer experience, Summer Quest Academy has established certain regulations and standards which all volunteers will be
expected to observe.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-    Check in and out of the school facility at the selected/assigned times
-    Assist with set up, facilitation, and cleanup of the assigned activities
-    Be attentive, enthusiastic, and helpful during the assigned activities
-    Interact appropriately and respectfully with all Academy staff, parents, and campers
-    Volunteer for the entire duration of the session(s) selected/assigned to you
-    Notify the Summer Quest Academy office (617)304-0366 if you are sick and/or unable to volunteer
-    Have no friends or family visit you at the camp facility during the camp day
-    Turn off your cell phone and do not use it during the camp day

ORIENTATION
Orientation is a mandatory introduction to volunteering with Summer Quest Academy. At this scheduled event Summer Quest Academy will review details of camp scheduling, policies, rules, facilities, etc. Orientation day will be announced.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES
I understand that if I do not follow the rules and regulations given to me by Summer Quest Academy, there will be consequences for my actions. Depending on the several of the situation, I will receive warnings (Written documentation of infraction). For each warning, 15 minutes will be deducted from my timesheet. If I receive three warnings I will be asked to leave my position as a Summer Quest Academy Summer Camp volunteer. Summer Quest Academy reserves the right to immediately relieve a volunteer of their position.

AGREEMENT (An additional agreement regarding volunteer responsibilities will need to be signed at the orientation)

-    I understand that Summer Quest Academy is a drug-free, smoke-free, alcohol free education environment and I agree to abide by these regulations.
-    I agree to the above volunteer responsibilities and rules.
