Indiana Child and Youth Care Certification Qualifying Exams Spring 2017
Welcome to the site where you can sign up to take the CYC qualifying exam OR simply to raise your hand and let us know that you are interested in pursing the credential.
The Journey has been supporting and encouraging youth workers in Indiana to obtain the CYC credential as a way to enhance their own credentials and to continue to foster a culture of professional development within the field of youth work in Indiana.

In order to obtain the certification you must pass the qualifying exam.

The qualifying exam is currently being proctored in Indiana by Pam Clark CYC-P and Jeananne Reich CYC-P. They both have received the credential and are trained to administer the exam. Questions can be directed to Pam at or Jeananne at

The exam will be proctored twice in February and once a month in March, April and May as follows:

Plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to the start time to register and complete the associated paperwork. Space may be limited, so register soon.
A minimum of ten people must be registered at least 1 week before the exam, or the testing may be cancelled.

The fees for taking the exam will be covered through a grant currently administered by the Indiana Youth Services Association (IYSA). If you complete your application and receive your certification by June 30th, the application fee will also be covered. (Which means this certification is NO cost to you.)

HOWEVER...YOU will be charged for the cost of the exam if you register but are a no show or cancel the day of the exam.
