Dear Ascot Vale PS Parents and Carers

We are seeking Parent Reps for each unit in 2023.

The Parent Rep role involves encouraging other parents or carers to participate in and connect with the school, adding value to the children and community of AVPS by helping organise activities and events such as:

- Fresh Fruit Fridays - preparing fruit deliveries to all classrooms once or twice per term

- Cake stalls at the Flemington Farmer's Market – once per term or semester on a Sunday

- Special Lunch Days for students– once per semester or year

- Parent helpers for excursions or events (sporting or cultural) - when needed

- Fun events such as Mother’s and Father’s Day gatherings

- Other fundraising events, such as trivia nights.

Finally, it is often challenging to find a time to meet that suits all people. We sometimes need to organise events via email or messaging.
