Foster Youth Resource Concierge Referral
Please use this form to refer a young adult for Life Skills Transition services with Speak Up for Kids's.  You may also be a self-referral or the youth can be referred by someone else.

Our  Foster Youth Resources Concierge supports foster youth who are 17+ and ready to transition to adulthood. The connection with our Concierge will empower the youth and launch them into adulthood armed with resources, direction, and the confidence to achieve their full potential and build a successful, independent future.

Our Foster Youth Resource Concierge is a pivotal and AMAZING new addition to our Life Skills Portal Program. We now have staff a member who works directly with the youth and takes their journey a step further: 
  • They are like a concierge in a hotel -- "a personal assistant for guests".  They help with booking reservations, tours, getting tickets, etc.  Just like that, our Foster Youth Concierge is like a Resource Depot, and helps link the youth to pivotal resources for aging out of the foster care system.  
  • Our Concierge picks up where the case managers, mentors and life coaches leave off...they help the youth take the overwhelming tasks and "chunk-it-down" into to doable tasks.
  • They walk alongside them (personally 1:1) to accomplish all the goals and tasks on their adulting to-do list.  
  • They "hold their hand" by meeting them at job interviews, school appointments, sit beside them as they fill out applications, help them on phone calls about medicaid, college applications, or job interviews -- and help them overcome self-sabotage.
  • They personalize the experience of aging out in a way that is bite-size and easily accomplished.  

To qualify for our services the youth must:
  • be 17+ (some late 16 year olds may be considered)
  • presently be in the dependency system
  • have a drive and desire to do the work to get prepared for adulthood
  • have a willingness to work with our Concierge
