Welcome to FIN LIT Challenge 2024! We are back for another iteration of SMU FinLIT programme’s annual financial literacy challenge for you to hone your financial literacy knowledge and prove that you are the best!

The annual FinLit Challenge is a financial literacy competition curated for tertiary education students to gain financial literacy knowledge and put them to the test. You will undergo a series of financial literacy-themed tasks ranging from skit production to racing one another in a thrilling Amazing Race at our on-campus event! This year marks the first year we are opening exclusively to our friends from Institutes of Technical Education (ITE) where more students will stand a chance to visit our campus and win attractive prizes!

This year’s theme is “The Heirs”, where you will take on the role of one of South Korea’s Crazy Rich Families and your goal is to share your best financial tips on wealth preservation to prove that your family is the richest because of your superior financial literacy knowledge. Round 1: Video Entry

• Gather your friends and form teams of 4-5 members to film a skit (with the theme in mind), covering any of these 3 topics we have selected.

• The video should only be 2-3 mins long.

• You may choose to cover more than 1 topic.

• Please include names of all team members, as well as your team name at the end of your video in the credits section. The duration of the credits section will be excluded from the 3 minute time limit.

• Please complete the google form and upload your video onto Instagram with the hashtag #SMUFLC2024 to be considered for the on campus event. Please ensure that your team's Instagram page is public.

• Deadline for all submissions will be 23 Aug 2024 2359 HRS.

• Only 1 submission is allowed per team.

Shortlisted Teams will be invited to Round 2: The Heirs Amazing Race, our on-campus event on the 31st August 2024. More details will be provided to selected teams.
