Community Archiving Workshop
The Liberal Arts Engagement Hub hosts this workshop to explore how we interact with and care for archival materials in our daily lives and in our domestic spaces. Whether in our homes, in our community spaces, or online, we all hold materials that have the power to amplify or silence our histories. Come discuss with three archivists - Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski, Ellen Holt-Werle, and Aiden Bettine - how you can make an impact with your own materials.

This is a hybrid workshop on Friday, April 19, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
In-person option: at the Liberal Arts Engagement Hub, 120 Pillsbury Hall.
Online option: Find Zoom link here

What questions do you have about archives and archiving? This will help us shape the conversation.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. Our accessibility standards, and those of Pillsbury Hall, always include the use of microphones, auto-captioning for Zoom attendees, availability of hearing assistive devices, a lactation room, and a meditation/prayer room.

Please share any information regarding accommodations or other needs (in-person or online) that would be helpful for us to know.

*If you have a need for a language interpreter, the earlier you are able to make this request, the more likely we will be able to accommodate. We will do our best but may not be able to secure an available interpreter for requests made on a short notice. You are welcome to reach out to liberalartshub@umn.edu if you have an urgent request.
Refreshments will be provided for in person attendees. Please share any dietary restrictions, allergies, or sensitivities.
