Title of Project: The relationship between Procrastination Type and the Big 5 personality factors
Invitation to take part
My name is Connor Thomson and I am a fourth year student in Psychology at Abertay University. As part of my degree programme I am carrying out the above study that you are being invited to participate in.
Purpose of the study
The purpose of this study is to explore the concept of procrastination. The current study will examine the relationship between procrastination and personality.
What will I be asked to do?
Participants will be asked to complete the Big 5 personality questionnaire and the procrastination questionnaires online. Participants will also be asked to answer a number of questions about themselves and their procrastination behaviour, and if willing will be asked to give their GPA (Grade point average).
Time Commitment
This is an online study that you can complete at your own pace. This will take approximately 25 minutes to complete
Must I take part?
No, participation is entirely voluntary. You may decide to stop being a part of the research study at any time without explanation, if you wish to do so please close the browser. However, as this study is anonymous once you submit your data we will not be able to remove it as it will not be identifiable.
Are there any risks?
There are no known risks for you in this experiment.
Confidentiality/Anonymity
The data collected will be seen by the researcher and the supervisor only. The answers to the questionnaires and short-answer questions will be anonymous. All the data collected will be kept anonymous, only your gender and year of study will be used.
