WHAT & WHEN: The Science Student Success (S3) program offers the S3 STEM Otter Raft Up with on-campus events Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in June leading up to Freshman Orientation. Students will be living in the dorms Sunday night through Thursday morning at the close of the program. Students will be able to keep their items in the dorm until the end of freshman orientation.
WHY: The STEM Otter Raft Up is designed to build community and self-confidence, help develop connections to advisors, faculty, and their major, while helping students get connected and develop success strategies.
WHO: The S3 STEM Otter Raft Up Days aim to serve incoming freshman who may be local, low-income, or first-generation and majoring in Biology, Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Mathematics and Statistics, Agricultural Plant and Soil Sciences, Computing and Design, Mechatronics Engineering.
