The Rural Health Network invites nominations for the 2026 Award for Excellence in Health Service. Each year, we honor an individual or organization that has made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the health and well-being of our community.

Nominees may be professionals or volunteers. We welcome nominations for anyone whose work, service, or advocacy has positively impacted community health.

To nominate a deserving person or group, please submit a summary of their accomplishments (500 words or less), describing how they have made a difference in our community. Nominations will be reviewed by the GCRHN Board of Directors, and the recipient(s) will be honored at the Rural Health Network's 25th Anniversary Celebration on October 8, 2026.

The 2025 Award recognized Dane Ruttenberg, retired educator, counselor, and coach with East Grand School District, and Austin Wingate, Chief of Grand County Emergency Medical Services. Ruttenberg was honored for decades of service supporting the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of local youth, while Wingate was recognized for innovative, people first leadership strengthening emergency care and community safety across the region.
