Register now and become a Maker Educator
Getting started with Maker{School} is a research-informed professional development programme underpinned by the Maker{School} Approach. It offers a structured framework to help educators incorporate making as a tool for learning across the curriculum.  The course guides educators through the maker pedagogy, principles of makerspaces, and the development of maker practice in and out of classrooms.

Maker education opens up hands-on opportunities for children to tinker, explore, problem-solve, and create. It fosters the development of 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. Although closely linked to STEM subjects, making can enhance all areas of the curriculum. 

Our programme focuses on support for educators in early years, primary (under 12 years old) and special schools. The course is suitable for any educator in these settings, even if you’re new to making or working with limited resources.
