Do you know who your candidates are this year? The 2021 Colorado Redistricting changed the Congressional, House, and Senate districts in which many of us live. Who is running for your district and how can you get to know them?
ANSWER: attend a MEMORIAL WEEKEND SPECIAL, honoring the men and women who have died in the military in service to our country.
Guests of Honor:
Lt. Col. Robert(Bob) Marshall, USMC (ret.), just returned from Europe, where he delivered critical supplies to Ukrainian refugees and will tell us about his trip. He is also our candidate for HD43.
Capt. Isaac (Ike) McCorkle, USMC, (ret.), our candidate for Congressional District 4 (which now includes Loveland and Wellington). He will tell us about his goals for CD4.
This is a state-wide (?) Meet-n-Greet with several other candidates running for State offices whose districts overlap Larimer, Weld, and/or Boulder Counties. Some other well-known guest speakers will also be attending.
Mid-term elections matter: they determine which parties hold the influence to pass and veto power to block legislation in the Statehouse and D.C. Democrats need unassailable majorities at ALL levels of government to protect our rights to vote, to make our own healthcare and family planning decisions, to marry who we love, and more. YOUR VOTE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER.
