ARROW Project Workshop Celebrating Cat Nap Coffee Release @ Art Hive on Saturday, May 17

Augusta Resources for Resilience, Opportunity and Wellness (ARROW) Project is a community-focused health and wellness organization whose mission is to alleviate barriers to accessing mental health services by creating innovative partnerships, programming, and professional development opportunities in the SAW region of Virginia. In celebration of Mental Health Awareness month, ARROW Project is excited to facilitate a free expressive arts-based workshop the morning of Saturday, May 17 in partnership with Cat Nap Coffee at the Art Hive, located at 835 Spring Hill Rd, Staunton, VA 24401.

At this event, Cat Nap Coffee will also release a small-batch, limited edition coffee roast to support ARROW Project and community mental health! Cat Nap will be on the scene selling and serving craft coffee-to-order throughout the free workshop. Pop in to celebrate, enjoy coffee and community, and share your support, and to register & plan your attendance for the free expressive arts-based workshop, please fill out the form below! 

To ensure ample space for creation, 9am, 10am, and 11am workshop sign-up times are provided, and you're welcome to stay to create, spread out, visit, and enjoy coffee until 12pm! This workshop is for all folx age 16 + and adults of all ages and any creative and expressive interest/level. A variety of materials, mediums, and optional prompts/invitations for both visual and literary arts creation and expression will be provided. Shared Intentions
The intention of this workshop is for facilitators and attendees to collaboratively create a supportive, inclusive, safe, and relaxed space for guided expressive-arts-based exploration, processing, expression, wellbeing, and community connection. 

Confidentiality and Its Limits
Information shared with ARROW staff and facilitators will be kept confidential, with the exception of situations where there is a risk of harm to self or others and as required by law. As a public and group event, attendees understand they may connect and share with fellow community and other attendees respectfully and per their own discretion, choice, and comfort level. Attendees agree to be respectful of the privacy of fellow attendees.

Some of the Potential Benefits
Increased self-awareness, reduced stress, positive peer and community connection.

Some Potential for Discomfort
Expressing oneself creatively and/or choosing to share personally in a group setting may feel vulnerable or uncomfortable at times. Group engagement for this workshop is entirely optional, and attendees may choose to interact within their comfort zone with others or focus individually on their creative or expressive exploration.
