Just Food offers cooking wellness demonstrations and classes throughout the city to diverse audiences that are conducted by Just Food trained Community Chefs. Community Chefs execute dynamic cooking demonstrations/classes that highlight healthy plant based eating, local food systems, seasonality, and developing relationships to regional & local farmers. The duration of demos are typically 60 minutes or up to two hours long. Our Community Chefs are prepared to do demos/classes for a variety of audiences.
Just Food believes nutrition education should be accessible to all communities. We offer a sliding scale for Cooking Demos/Classes to help accommodate diverse audiences and also account for the spectrum of funding different organizations/groups possess. The fee of all cooking demonstrations cover the JF Community Chef stipend (including setup and break down), food, materials/supplies, and a modest administrative fee. We will also adjust the total cost to best accommodate the event scale and needs such as estimated number of attendance, outdoor/indoor locale, etc. A Just Food staff member will follow up shortly based on your completed request form.
A table must be provided by the organization.More information about Just Food Community Chef Cooking Demos:
