For our 8th year in a row, 1stGenYale is proud to participate in the First-Year Scholars at Yale (FSY) program – on campus again!

1stGenYale Event at Yale
“Alumni Perspectives: Navigating Yale & Beyond"
Saturday, July 15, 2023
Time: 10:30am - 5pm

Location at Yale will be emailed closer to the event. 
Please join us for an optional no-host dinner for alumni after 5pm.

Yale alumni from all schools and degree programs are invited to join us on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10:30am - 5pm for 1stGenYale's "Alumni Perspectives: Navigating Yale & Beyond" - an in-person, half-day session with Yale College students as part of the FSY program. Registration begins at 10:30am with lunch promptly at 11am. Be sure to plan to stay for the entire time, which includes lunch, a panel discussion, and reception. Location will be emailed closer to the event. There is an optional dinner for alumni who can stay after 5pm.

FSY (fsy.yale.edu) is a six-week on-campus program especially designed for incoming Yale College students from low-income, under-resourced backgrounds, who are among the first in their families to attend college. Even before these 96 invited students start their fall semester, FSY prepares them for their transition to become Yale students. They live on campus, learn about campus life, sharpen their academic skills, and hear about Yale's resources, including alumni like you!

We give forward to help the next generation succeed. By sharing similar backgrounds of limited resources with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and thought experiences, first-gen/low-income alumni and supporters connect with each other to have a positive impact on the lives of our students and fellow alumni.

Adult guests are welcome to attend with alumni. Note, given the nature of this program, children under 21 of alumni are not permitted to attend. Thank you for your understanding.
