The general Manasota BUDS Scholarship Fund is a reimbursement program and therefore cannot provide monies prior to participation in the Fund’s approved activities.   (The Summer Scholarship Program operates differently and checks are issued directly to the camp/program directly.)   No general scholarships funds will be issued to individuals without proper documentation of expenses incurred as a result of participation in approved activities. When necessary and appropriate, Manasota BUDS will issue checks directly to vendors such as the NDSC to cover conference registration fees and hotel expenses.   In order for Manasota BUDS to reimburse expenses, we will need documentation (receipts, invoices, etc.)   The guidelines for the Manasota BUDS Scholarship Fund as outlined above are aligned with sound business practices for risk management and financial integrity. This is vital for the protection of the organization and individual members with fiduciary responsibilities.  Therefore, we will adhere to all professional standards for accounting and IRS reporting.

Write details or other notes above if this is a simple request.  Otherwise, attach a complete description of the resource, program, or service requested and provide an outline of associated costs for review by the Board of Directors of Manasota BUDS.  The Board will consider all requests providing that funds will directly benefit an individual with Down syndrome.

Manasota BUDS will mail scholarship checks directly to camp/program.

It is your responsibility to enroll in camp/program.
