2025 IA SHRM State Conference – Online Speaker Application

Thank you for your interest in speaking at the 2025 Iowa SHRM State Conference to be held LIVE in Des Moines at the Iowa Events Center.   We are looking for breakout session speakers that will be available to present on Thursday, October 9th or Friday, October 10th. 

Sessions will be 1 hour in length and the education tracks will be based on the SHRM Body of Applied Skills & Knowledge (SHRM BASK).

The deadline for submitting the Speaker Application Request Form is June 1st, 2025. Click here for FAQs and the Tracks and Topics outline with respect to the conference. Please be aware that selected speakers will be required to use WeTransfer to send us their presentation materials. Details will be provided on use of this tool. 

There will be over 500 HR professionals in attendance from across the state, representing companies of all sizes, from numerous industries.

Conditions include: 
By submitting this proposal, I commit to abide by deadlines and conditions of presenting. 

*No selling from the platform, ability to present at the assigned time slot, working within the technology limitations outlined, willingness to repeat the session if needed. 

*I understand that all presentations will be required to be uploaded by the provided deadline in order to have them ready and loaded on Conference computers. All presentations will be given from Conference computers, not personal computers. We will communicate the process for uploading the decks, if selected. 

*I consent to share this information with the Iowa Chapters to be added to the IA SHRM Speaker Database. (You may be contacted for future programs by one of our state chapters.)

*I consent to have my presentation slides and handouts uploaded onto the Conference App available to all attendees to view and download. 

*I understand that I will need to register for the conference if I'm interested in seeing other sessions.
