Seaport Parade of Lights Application

Independence Seaport Museum is hosting its annual Seaport Parade of Lights on the Delaware River Saturday, December 12. The festivities begin inside the Museum at 11:00 a.m, where visitors will enjoy holiday music, a special holiday display and a visit from Santa. Then at 4:30 p.m. Santa will join the tug Jupiter for the Seaport Parade of Lights that starts at 5:00 p.m. The parade will be led by Jupiter, a vintage 1902 tug maintained by the Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild. Each boat that registers will receive two pairs of tickets (4 total) to attend the events inside the Museum.

There will be two awards for best decorated commercial and best decorated pleasure boat. The parade route is south to north past the Seaport Museum, then boats head back south to the starting point, at which point the parade is finished. The parade will be over by 6:00 pm.

Please send a hi-res photo of your vessel(s) to nsturrup@phillyseaport.org if you'd like to be featured in the program book.
