Nominations for Best Law Mentors

We are seeking nominations of outstanding law mentors—individual lawyers who stand out in terms of the guidance or supervision that they provide to their mentees. Law is a professional practice with norms and expectations that are passed from one generation to the next. For centuries, lawyers have been taught how to practice in the profession not just through formal education, but also through being supervised and guided by more experienced lawyers.

We are eager to hear about anyone you believe excels at the role of mentor—whether they work in law firms, government practices, non-profit organizations, or the judiciary. This includes those who supervise junior attorneys, support more junior members of the same community, take emerging judges and lawyers under their wings, or anyone else who is changing the lives of those entering the profession behind them. We will be highlighting, on this website, some of the nominations (including comments from the nominator about the nominee) as examples of some of the excellent mentoring work occurring in the profession.
