New Opportunities Grant Application
This grant opportunity is to increase access to opportunities by reducing barriers, increasing understanding, and/or expanding resources. This grant is for up to $10,000/year for two years (the school years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021) and could be used for racial equity training for a school staff, students, and/or families, new opportunities for students (e.g., after school programming), stipends for staff work that directly creates opportunities for students. School teams are eligible to apply with the support of principals.

Grant Priorities
Priority will be given to requests that:

1. Increase and address the needs of marginalized students by redistributing access and opportunity.
2. Pilot a new idea which has the potential to fix the conditions that create inequities.
3. Utilize research and best practice, which includes the lived-experiences of people in the community.
4. Build collaborations with community partners to create efficiencies and sustainability.
5. Have the support of an invested team.

1. Find a team and involve an administrator.
2. Invite Kate or a member of ACSF to learn about your idea. We are more than happy to help you create a great
proposal.
3. Find research that supports or improves your proposal.
4. Complete the application and inform your principal about your proposal. A copy of your submitted grant application will be emailed to your principal by ACSF staff for approval.
5. Submit form by March 29th, 2019.

Grant awards will be announced by April 1, 2019.
