UACHS US History II HONORS is a course designed for the student who seeks a challenging academic curriculum in US History. It has been designed to provide students with opportunities for the study of human relations. It is mainly for highly motivated high school sophomores, juniors or seniors, and it satisfies the New Jersey Department of Education US History II high school graduation requirement.The material in this course is taught with greater complexity and novelty. US History II HONORS is distinguished by a difference in the quality of the work expected, not merely an increase in the quantity assigned.
The students will develop their understandings of modern United States history by learning and practicing the academic skills of researching, reading, critical thinking, analyzing, synthesizing historical information, and original writing. Properly executed, each student will exit this course with solid knowledge of all aspects of modern US History.
