Athens Area Education Foundation (AAEF) is pleased to announce our Spring 2027 Grant Program.  Tell us about dream projects that, with the right funding, you could bring to life for students.  We are looking for high-impact, memory marker experiences and projects that will leave the Athens Area School District community saying “wow”!  We know our AASD professionals have creative, world-class ideas, and we want to hear them!   Together, we look forward to strengthening the educational excellence of Athens Area School District Students with amazing learning opportunities!  Don't forget, Dream Big!


GENERAL GUIDELINES

The Grant Program is open to any employee of AASD that impacts students on a day-to-day basis in elementary school, middle school, or high school. Teachers (classroom, specials, and ESL), math and reading specialists, therapists, speech-language pathologists, paraprofessionals, social workers, building secretaries, building principals and assistant principals all qualify to apply!

There is no per-Applicant dollar limitation on Applications. All Applications must include a detailed and balanced budget.   If the project anticipates multiple funding sources (e.g., AAEF and a PTO, or AAEF and an outside funding source), please provide information on the additional funding source.

Grant funds must impact students of the Athens Area School District

Applications may be submitted by one individual, or a collaboration of colleagues.  If collaborating, one individual must be the “primary” Applicant.


INSTRUCTIONS AND CONDITIONS

Complete all sections of the application.  Do not include links to websites, files, or photos in the Application. Links to websites, files, or photos will NOT be reviewed or considered in the adjudication process.  The number of Grants awarded is dependent on the number of submitted Applications, quality of Applications, and requested funding values.  The Grant Program, by its nature, is competitive. Submission of an Applicant does not guarantee the funding of such Grant. 

All submitted Applications will be reviewed and discussed by AAEF trustees comprising a Grant Committee.  The Grant Committee will make a recommendation and provide input to the AAEF’s board of trustees for approval of Grants. Applicants will not be provided feedback (scores or otherwise) on Applications. Inquiries requesting feedback on why a particular Application was not awarded may not be responded to.  

By participating, each Applicant agrees to be bound by the decisions of AAEF, which shall be final and binding in all respects.  By accepting a Grant, awardees of Grants consent to AAEF using their name, voice, likeness, photograph, information, and information for programming, publicity and promotional purposes, in all forms of media.
