Northern California/ Nevada Section of AAPT

Award description

The Excellence In Teaching Award is an award recognizing outstanding Physics teaching for a member of the Northern California/ Nevada Section of AAPT. Excellent teachers have engaged and capable students who can apply their knowledge to new situations and still demonstrate an understanding of the concepts. Nominees should embody the NCNAAPT and AAPT philosophy that all willing students should have an enjoyable and rewarding Physics educational experience.

All levels of Physics teachers (college, university, high school, etc.) are eligible and nominations are encouraged for members at all stages of their careers. There is no minimum number of years of membership in NCNAAPT or AAPT.

Due Date

All forms must be submitted by April 6, 2018 in order to be considered for the award. The Excellence in Teaching Award will be given at the Spring 2018 NCNAAPT meeting.
