We, Iranians and Israelis, share grave concerns for the future of our countries and the region. Israel and Iran have been engaged in indirect conflict for decades; a conflict that puts the entire region in danger, and especially the people of these countries. Following the exchange of fire last year, the Israeli attacks starting Friday morning, and the Iranian attacks starting Friday night, the conflict has now entered us into a new phase. Already around 200 civilians have been killed in Iran and at least 23 in Israel. This is a reminder of the price paid by citizens in war.
Iranians, Israelis and Palestinians deserve to live in safety and dignity. Attacks on civilians should be condemned everywhere. The respective governments of our country have helped plunge our people into this war that doesn’t represent our interests. Continued bloodshed won’t bring security for any of our nations.
We call on both sides and the international community to take immediate steps toward ending the violence. They must find a way to bring all parties on the path of diplomacy. An immediate ceasefire should be the first step toward a broader diplomatic solution.
We refuse to accept the inevitability of violent conflict as the only way forward between our nations, Israel and Iran, or their positioning as eternal arch-enemies. The endless and senseless wars of this region won’t benefit our people, all of whom have the right to live in peace and security.

ما، جمعی از ایرانیان
و اسرائیلیها، نگرانیهای عمیق و مشترک خود را دربارهی آیندهی دو کشور و منطقهمان
ابراز میداریم. از چند دههی پیش اسرائیل و ایران وارد یک همستیزی غیرمستقیم
شده اند؛ ستیزِ دوجانبهای که کل منطقه و بهویژه مردمان این کشورها را در خطر
قرار داده است. درپیِ مبادلهی آتش در سال گذشته، با حملهی اسرائیل در صبحِ جمعه
و پاسخ ایران در شبِ همان روز این همستیزی وارد مرحلهی جدیدی شده است. تاکنون بیشاز

شهروند غیرنظامی در اسرائیل کشته شده اند. این کشتهها یادآور بهایی است که
شهروندان در جنگ میپردازند.
ایرانیان و
اسرائیلیان و فلسطینیان سزاوار زندگی در امنیت و کرامت هستند. در همهجا حمله به
شهروندان غیرنظامی باید محکوم شود. دولتهای دو کشور ما دو ملت ما را به جنگی
کشانده اند که نمایندهی منافع ما نیست. تداوم خونریزی امنیت را برای هیچیک از
ملتهای ما در پی نخواهد داشت.
ما هر دوطرف و
جامعهی بینالمللی را فرا میخوانیم تا برای پایان دادن به خشونت دست به اقدامهای
فوری بزنند. آنان باید راهی بیابند تا همهی طرفها در مسیر دیپلماسی قرار گیرند.
آتشبس فوری باید مرحلهی نخست برای رسیدن به راهحل وسیعتر دیپلماتیک باشد.
از نگاه ما
ناگزیریِ همستیزیِ خشونتبار بهعنوان تنها راه آیندهیِ پیشِرویِ دو ملت
اسرائیل و ایران یا دشمنانگی ابدی میان آنان مردود است. جنگهای بیپایان و بیمعنایِ
این منطقه به نفع مردم ما نیست. حقِ مردمان ماست که در صلح و امنیت زندگی کنند.
אנחנו, איראנים וישראלים, חולקים דאגה עמוקה לעתיד מדינותינו ולעתיד האזור כולו.
איראן וישראל מצויות בעימות עקיף מזה עשורים; עימות שמסכן את האזור כולו, ובמיוחד את אזרחי שתי המדינות. בעקבות חילופי האש בשנה שעברה, המתקפות ההרסניות של ישראל שהחלו ביום שישי בבוקר, והתגובה האיראנית שהחלה בשישי בלילה – נכנסנו כעת לשלב חדש. כבר עכשיו יותר מ-200 אזרחים נהרגו באיראן ולפחות 23 אזרחים נהרגו בישראל. זוהי תזכורת למחיר שמשלמים האזרחים במלחמה.
איראנים, ישראלים ופלסטינים זכאים לחיות בביטחון ובכבוד. יש לגנות תקיפות נגד אזרחים בכל מקום שבו הן מתרחשות. הממשלות של מדינותינו הובילו את העמים שלנו אל תוך מלחמה שאינה מייצגת את האינטרסים שלנו. המשך שפיכות הדמים לא יביא ביטחון לאף אחד מהעמים.
אנו קוראים לשני הצדדים ולקהילה הבינלאומית לנקוט צעדים מיידיים לסיום מעגל האלימות. עליהם למצוא את הדרך להוביל את כל הצדדים לנתיב של דיפלומטיה. הפסקת אש מיידית צריכה להיות הצעד הראשון לקראת פתרון דיפלומטי רחב יותר.
אנו מסרבים לקבל את האלימות כגזירת גורל ביחסי ישראל ואיראן, או את תפיסת האויבות הנצחית בין השתיים. המלחמות האינסופיות וחסרות ההיגיון באזורנו לא משרתות את העמים שלנו, שלכולם הזכות לחיות בשלום ובביטחון.
