Please choose what time/day would generally work best for you, and we will select the option each month that the most people can attend. During the Summer, 12:30pm should be just fine for seeing plenty of local species, especially water birds. We usually go to Greenwood Cemetery, and Prospect Park, but are looking to expand our walks to Plumb Beach, The Salt Marsh, Shirley Chisholm State Park, and Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. If you have access to a car and would be willing to help shuttle other avid birders to one of these locations, please let us know. We would love to expand where we are able to take you.
Birders of all experience levels welcome! We highly suggest having your own pair of binoculars. We will be using them most of the time we are actively looking for birds. You can still join us for a chill walk without them, you just won't be able to see as much.
