The Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (DSACO) is committed to empowering, educating, and enhancing families in our community. We believe every family should have access to the life-changing education, community connection, and advocacy opportunities offered at the National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC) Annual Conference. To help make this possible, DSACO is proud to offer scholarships for families to attend the 2026 NDSC Conference.
About the Scholarship
The DSACO NDSC Conference Scholarship provides financial assistance to families who would otherwise be unable to participate in the 2026 NDSC Conference. Scholarships may cover conference registration fees for family members attending. Limited support for travel or lodging may also be available depending on funding.
Who Can Apply
Any DSACO-affiliated family of an individual with Down syndrome who demonstrates financial need is encouraged to apply. Priority consideration may be given to:

First-time NDSC Conference attendees

Families experiencing financial hardship

Single-parent households
-
Families with multiple individuals with Down syndrome
All eligible families are welcome to apply by January 31, 2026.
What the Scholarship Covers
Scholarship awards may include:

Registration for the General Conference
-
Registration for the Youth & Adults Conference or Kids’ Camp (if applicable)

Limited assistance for travel or lodging (based on available funds)
Families receiving a scholarship may be responsible for any additional expenses not included in the award.
Application Requirements
Applicants will be asked to provide:

Basic family information and details about the individual with Down syndrome

A brief statement of financial need

A short explanation of how attending the NDSC Conference would benefit their family

Agreement to complete a short follow-up or reflection after the conference at the DSACO Back to School Bash in August
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by DSACO staff and/or the scholarship committee. Decisions will be based on financial need, clarity of application, and available funding. Families will be notified via email once selections are made.
