This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and engagement of the Remix IDE community through hands-on involvement in events in specific geographic regions: East Africa, West Africa, and at Devconnect Argentina. The intern will play an on-the-ground role in the planning, execution, and follow-up of potential Remix workshops and ecosystem initiative launch events, fostering connections within the local ecosystems and promoting adoption of Remix IDE in those regions.
Responsibilities may include:
Event Planning and Coordination: Assisting in the logistical arrangements for workshops, meetups, and conference participation in East Africa, West Africa, and Argentina. This involves tasks such as venue scouting, vendor communication, material preparation, and scheduling.
Community Engagement: Interacting with developers, partners, and community members at events, providing information about Remix and gathering feedback.
Content Creation: Developing engaging content to promote events, including social media posts, blog updates, and presentation materials.
On-site Support: Traveling to event locations to provide on-the-ground assistance, managing registration, setting up and tearing down event spaces, and ensuring smooth event operations.
Post-event Follow-up: Collecting and analyzing event feedback, preparing reports, and engaging with attendees post-event to nurture relationships.
Collaboration: Working closely with the Remix team and local community organizers to align event strategies with overall project goals.
Research: Identifying potential event opportunities and partners in the designated regions.
