Mentions pitches:
This is a portal for pitching The Drift's Mentions. Please let us know your name, contact info, and the topic you'd like to review. Tell us what it is (book/app/large novelty mug) and include one sentence sketching your take. This description does not need to be in the final review, but it will give us an idea of what to expect, both in terms of your angle and jokes. If you submit more than one, please fill out the form again.

Please keep in mind that these are not full reviews, with the space to summarize and explore several topics. They rarely exceed 150 words. The most successful Mentions are clear, concise (and ideally funny) nuggets with about a very specific idea that gets at something larger about the work as a whole. A good rule of thumb for these is to avoid adjectives ("this book is compelling and rigorous"), in favor of examples–details, quotes, usernames, etc. Before pitching, please make sure you're familiar with the format.
