SLCMEA 2019 Scholarship Application- Higher Education
This award is intended to encourage and support deserving students in their pursuit of higher education in the field of music. Limited monies are available to St. Lawrence County students enrolled in any music degree program. Final decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are based on musical and academic achievement, and financial need.

The scholarship will be paid directly to successful candidates upon receipt of official proof of
registration and enrollment as a music major in an accredited higher education music degree program. It shall be incumbent upon the successful candidate to submit such proof to the Committee Chair. Failure to do so shall result in loss of the scholarship which may then be awarded to another deserving student.

Read all instructions carefully and complete the application thoroughly. Incomplete or incorrectly completed applications will not be considered.

Submit application, essay, resumé, and transcript to the scholarship chairperson no later than Friday, May 3, 2019. (Hard copies can be requested if needed or preferred- contact the scholarship chairperson by April 19.)

Scholarship Chairperson:
Brianne Sterling

Make sure that the separate Recommendation Forms are completed by TWO different recommenders (a school music teacher OR private teacher, AND either a school teacher of another academic subject OR a community member) and returned to the scholarship chairperson by 5/3. Either provide your recommender with the link to complete it electronically, or contact Mrs. Sterling for a hard copy by April 19.
