Specific Criteria for Individual and Team Inductees
The following definitions and criteria shall apply to the three individual inductee nominating categories. There are no quotas for any category.
ATHLETE- Any Southeast High School athlete who participated in athletics and whose primary achievement in the field of athletics occurred during such high school participation. Any such person may not be considered until 15 years after high school graduation.
COACH- Must be or have been an employee at Lincoln Southeast High School who has coached a sanctioned activity/sport for at least 5 years. A coach would be eligible for the Hall of Fame induction if he/she has retired from coaching or has reached the age of 60.
CONTRIBUTOR- Those who have made contributions to Lincoln Southeast High School athletics in some capacity other than the above mentioned categories. This category would include broadcasters, tournament officials, community leaders, athletic administrators or any individual who made a significant contribution to high school sports at Lincoln Southeast High School
Once a person has been nominated, the nomination remains in the Hall of Fame's active file for five years. If a nominee is not selected within five years the nomination is removed from consideration.
TEAM- Each year the Hall of Fame Committee shall honor a team, but no more than two, which competed at least 25 years prior to the annual awards banquet.
