KC Peppers-Lazor are looking to fill roster positions for the 2023-2024 season, as we are graduating 8 of current players. We are looking for athletes that are versatile and can produce offensively. We have a great group of talented athletes that work very hard. We are looking to add athletes with the right work ethic, team first mentality, positive attitude, and passion for the game. The team is under the management of Anna (Varriano) Lazor, a former four-year starter as a D1 catcher from the University of Northern Iowa. At UNI Coach Lazor earned numerous accolades, including Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. Senior year helped lead the team to a conference championship in 2017 and runner up in the conference tournament. Lazor stayed at UNI as a volunteer assistant coach for one year while working towards her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. When she moved back to KC she wanted to give back to the sport that has provided her with so many opportunities, great memories, and lasting relationships. Lazor’s focus is developing players in the sport, helping them grow as individuals, and help them prepare for the next steps after high school. Alongside Coach Lazor are Dan Eakin and Paul Varriano. Together they both bring a wealth of knowledge from serving many years in the coaching role. Together all three coaches share the passion of the game and drive to make sure these athletes compete at the highest levels.
