The issue of cultural components in film translation is set against the background of globalization. I will be looking at trends of subtitling followed across the world to show that there is loss of culture and not every country follows the same method or set of subtitling. It is highly volatile and would differ from person to person be it the generation they belong to or the kind of economic or social background they come from.
