Law Students for Radical Real Estate (LS4RRE) Application - 2023
***Hi there: we're no longer accepting applications for the March 2023 cohort, but feel free to fill out the application if you'd like to be considered for the next cohort, which should begin in September 2023. Thanks!***

In the LS4RRE Program, law students are connected with attorneys at the Sustainable Economies Law Center to assist in the completion of a research project. The commitment is 1 monthly meeting among our cohort + 5–10 hours on a research project with an attorney with the opportunity for further engagement. Most law students should be able to receive pro bono credit. This year's program will begin in March 2023 and continue through May 2023 with the possibility of further engagement. It is open to current law students and legal apprentices on a rolling admission basis.

As a program of the Law Center, LS4RRE is committed to cultivating a new legal landscape that supports community resilience and grassroots economic empowerment. Its mission is to provide law students an opportunity to learn and take part in the Law Center’s advocacy.

The research projects from this year largely involve building informational "bite-sized legal guides" (you can find samples here: https://www.theselc.org/bite-sized-law) about radical real estate law. Feel free to follow up this application with any questions in an email to alex@theselc.org
